Our Story

With a long history in the catering and hospitality industry, and a busy family life in London, and a love of the flexibility of self-catering holidays, we know how important food is to make a good holiday great.

As frequent ‘staycationers’, what really frustrates us is wasting time and money loading our car with big jars and bottles and lots of basic ingredients, or buying full sized items on holiday, only to throw them away or bring barely used items home again.

So we got thinking….rather than raid our home kitchen or buy in bulk, then load up the car, what if we could buy  a box of basics…that taste great….and comes in just the right sizes, to see us through. We decided that would solve all our store cupboard woes!

Oddly, whilst you can head into most high street chemists to find your toiletries in miniature travel sizes, you can’t do the same in supermarkets for your kitchen essentials.  We just couldn’t find small sized, good quality basics in the supermarkets, so we started to source them  directly from premium suppliers across the UK.

We succeeded! After months of searching, we launched The Traveller’s Pantry – a company delivering yummy food basics boxes that get your holiday up and running.

We’ve already put together 3 boxes but more are in the pipeline, so watch this space!
